Enterprise Solutions Architect (Ecommerce / Shopify / BigCommerce) at Epic Design Labs

We are an e-commerce digital agency working with Shopify and BigCommerce merchants to help them maximize their online presence. We provide end-to-end solutions that encompass design, development, marketing, and ongoing support to help businesses thrive in the digital marketplace.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Solutions Architect to join our team and drive the success of our more established e-commerce clients.

You would be responsible for working closely with our clients to understand their unique business requirements and develop comprehensive e-commerce solutions using the Shopify and BigCommerce platforms. Your primary focus will be on recommending, integrating, and configuring various third-party apps, systems, and tools that enhance inventory management, product information management, ad feeds, and other critical functionalities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze their specific business needs, objectives, and pain points related to their e-commerce operations.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend suitable apps and extensions within the Shopify and BigCommerce ecosystems to address client requirements.
• Design and implement scalable, efficient, and robust e-commerce solutions by integrating and configuring selected apps and systems.
• Perform thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the implemented solutions.
• Provide guidance and support to the development team during the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Advise clients on optimal strategies for utilizing existing e-commerce platforms and recommended apps to achieve their business goals.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, advancements, and updates within the e-commerce industry, specifically related to Shopify and BigCommerce platforms.
• Assist the sales team in pre-sales activities, including providing technical expertise during client consultations and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or a similar role in an e-commerce agency or a digital consultancy.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the Shopify and/or BigCommerce platforms, including their APIs, extensions, themes, and customizations.
• Deep knowledge and experience with 3rd party apps available for these platforms including IMSs, OMSs, PIMs, Automation, Dropshipping, Feeds & More.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce concepts, including inventory

Overall this position is about consulting with clients to help them solve enterprise-level problems, recommending the right solutions to overcome obstacles and grow revenues. You'll need to know the lay of the land in 3rd party apps, and constantly be investigating new solutions and tools.
